About me and my therapy practice
Whatever your specific circumstances, being offered a safe and non-judgemental space to just be who you are can be helpful and healing for most people, and that is what I can offer. I work primarily in a person-centred way, letting you take the lead and creating an environment of warmth, empathy and understanding, which helps pave the way forward in our journey together.
During our first session I will work with you to outline what it is you would like from therapy, and if you want, set some goals for outcomes you would like to see. You may not know at this point what you want from therapy but just feel the need to offload, and that is fine. Things are likely to become clearer as we progress.
With 15 years experience of working with adults from all walks of life, I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, working using a variety of techniques and approaches. My background is mainly in the field of mental health, however I have worked in many different settings and seen clients from all sorts of backgrounds and circumstances.
I hold a post-graduate diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (the course is BACP & UKCP accredited) along with a degree in psychology.
