About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BACP Accredited and Registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I provide a confidential, safe, non-judgemental environment, offering face to face counselling and psychotherapeutic support to individuals.

My focus is on helping clients to gain personal insight and an understanding of their difficulties, working with them in how to move forward, and facilitating their growth, change and transformation.

I have worked with a wide range of client concerns, including: depression/feeling low, bereavement & loss, low self-esteem, stress & anxiety, work-related issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts & feelings, and relationship issues.

Sometimes life can feel like such a struggle and we can feel stuck. We might feel we can't cope on our own following a particular event. We may want to resolve something that's happened in the past or need help facing the future.

The thought of sharing intimate thoughts and feelings with a stranger can sometimes feel like a daunting prospect. Counselling can be helpful by talking things through with an independent person in identifying patterns of behaviour which may be preventing us from living a more fulfilling life. We can begin to see things differently. We can learn to move on with our lives. My aim is to offer you a safe, non-judgemental environment, where you can work through your difficulties at your own pace. I believe we all have the capacity for change.

Each person's experience of counselling will be different according to what they bring to the sessions. It is a time for you, an opportunity to take stock and grow without the distractions of outside influences or demands. Whatever you want to discuss is up to you. I will remain open to your unique and individual experience.

Counselling can be short or long-term. You may decide that you only need a few sessions. However you may also discover that you want more time and that open ended counselling proves to be more fitting. The choice is yours.
