About me and my therapy practice
My aim is to support individuals who are struggling with their life to find hope and purpose.I have a specific interest in working with bereavement, carers and disabilities.
You may be feeling anxious, depressed or experienced a loss of some kind. It may be an end of a relationship, a job or a bereavement. Not knowing how to deal with these feelings and emotions can be overwhelming. At times it can be challenging and at times difficult to ask for help.
Here are a few good reasons to how Counselling can help you
* Getting things off your chest: Talking to someone who listens without judgement can lead to a sense of unburdening
* Learning coping methods: Skills learnt while working with your counsellor can help you find different and new ways of dealing with situations
* Awareness and insights: Learning about yourself and behaviors may help your choices in the future
I offer confidentiality and a supportive non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever issues, concerns or worries that have brought you to counselling. Where appropriate we can explore the connection between your current situation and your past.
I suggest a weekly basis for the first 12 sessions. However, the amount of sessions will depend on you. Some individuals choose to have long term counselling allowing them to explore their issues further.
