About me and my therapy practice

People often turn to counselling when life becomes overwhelming or confusing. As a person-centred counsellor, I recognise that most clients enter counselling in an anxious and vulnerable state. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment, where clients can explore their thoughts or feelings about whatever issues they choose to bring to sessions. I work together with my clients to help them make sense of what’s happening in their lives and what options are available to them. I hold a qualification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which can be useful to challenge unhelpful or damaging, behaviours and thoughts. I have also trained with the National Centre for Eating Disorders and am an experienced Eating Disorder Practitioner. I hope to empower people so that they feel stronger and better equipped to deal with life’s many challenges. To help clients decide whether I am the right counsellor for them, I offer an initial 50/60 minutes session for a reduced fee of £30, subsequent sessions are £40. For Eating Disorder Therapy I charge £65 for an initial 90 minutes session and £50 for each subsequent 60 minutes session. Students/Trainee Counsellors/Apprentices/Unwaged - £30 per session. I am happy to discuss reduced fees for long-term therapy. I work face-to-face and via Skype – or a mixture of both.
