About me and my therapy practice
I qualified as a counsellor in 2007 and I'm currently a registered member of the BACP.
Since qualifying, I've worked consistently across various areas of counselling so I have a lot of experience of working with all different kinds of issues like relationship breakdown, family problems, bereavement, abuse, domestic violence, stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, work related issues, change management, loss, trauma, sexuality and addictions to name a few.
I'm an integrative counsellor which, in normal speak, just means that I combine different types of therapy to suit the varying needs of the different people that I work with, all of which I am trained in.
Overall I'm very client centred (I work with the issues you want to focus on) whilst remaining solution focussed and I'm generally just a very warm, non-judgemental and confident person.
My priority across the board, is to provide my clients with a confidential and effective environment in which they feel safe, comfortable and able to work through whatever it is that's causing problems in their life.
I provide long-term, short-term, and time limited therapy, this can be either via telephone or video calls.
My first session
Prior to starting therapy, I like to offer potential clients a free 20-30 minute call either by telephone or video call just by way of introduction, to answer any questions and get an idea as to whether we're a good fit to work together.
