About me and my therapy practice
Life can be overwhelming at times and managing your emotions and experiences can be very challenging and painful.
Voicing your expectations and fears to someone who is skilled to listen can help you make sense of it all.
I can offer you a safe, confidential and relaxing environment in which we can explore what is bringing you to counselling.
Together, we can creatively explore by using visualisation, body-mind awareness or experimentation, even walk and talk in the outside space, what ever may help.
I offer both individual and couples therapy.
My core training is in person-centred therapy, but will call on other approaches if needed. These include humanistic theories, such as Gestalt and existential ideas and attachment models.
I have worked in helping people with relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, loss and bereavement, dementia, anxiety, depression and adult and childhood trauma. If your aim is for making a change in some aspect of your life or behaviour, we can work together on your options.
I prefer face-to-face work, but because this is limited to location, I have worked successfully on the telephone, Skype and Zoom.
My first session
A complimentary initial consultation face to face or telephone is 15 minutes. Further counselling sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
