About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative therapist working with couples and individuals. I have current availability for face-to-face sessions.

Making the decision to access therapy can be a daunting one. I aim to offer a space for you to consider your own story, share your narrative and ultimately find out more about yourselves in the presence of a emotionally available other. I hold a non-judgemental and open-hearted approach to what every client brings. The focus is on building a strong trusting therapeutic relationship, from which to support each person to consider what feels most important to them.

I offer both short and long term therapy which can be open end if preferred. I usually see individual clients/children weekly for 50 minutes and can see couples weekly or fortnightly. I am flexible in my approach and can adapt this to suit clients needs.

Practice description

I hold the belief that wounding often happens in the process of a relationship, be that an inter-family relationship or romantic involvement. This often means that who we are attracted to romantically, mirrors our early life experiences. I offer couple and relationship therapy as a tool to fine-tune communication skills and to help each partner understand the other’s underlying needs. Love is an art, not a science, whether you have been together for 5 months or 50 years, spending quality time working on the substance of your relationship is a courageous step towards a joyful connection. I also work with people in other types of relationships such as GSRD, siblings, families, business partnerships, or teams of people working to resolve something.

I offer an integrative approach to working with adults and my model is informed by a range of theories. These include person-centred therapy, attachment, neuroscience, body psychotherapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy which looks at the unconscious. While I do offer the use of arts as part of the therapy, people may choose not to take this up. I provide a safe container for people to explore and be curious about themselves. I aim to work alongside clients to help them gain self-acceptance and hope, whilst also being with them through painful and difficult moments.
