Hi and welcome to my counselling profile.

I am an empathic, energetic and highly motivated individual who loves motivating others and helping them to work towards realising their true potential.

I am an integrative counsellor who has experience working with adults and young people on a wide range of issues.

Psychotherapy & Counselling is an option you might like to consider if you are experiencing difficulties in your life. It can help you think and feel through difficult personal questions, take stock of your life and address the issues that are making life difficult. Gaining a clearer appreciation and understanding of a problem is the first step on the road to making changes.

I have a flexible and adaptable approach and would be happy to explore with you, what might best assist you, to move forward towards your goals.

If you decide to work with me, expect to be challenged in a kind, sensitive and at times, where appropriate a humorous way. You may find reflecting deeply and exploring your potential stimulating, rewarding, and profoundly encouraging.

You may explore concerns that are troubling you, in a calm and confidential environment, without being judged or criticised.

In a safe environment, thoughts and feelings can be explored and repeated patterns of behaviour identified, some of which may have a bearing on your current problem and the way you move forward in your life.

You can explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings and intentions in a safe environment, you may discover, overcome and change patterns of cognitive, emotional, behavioural response, that may have been causing your current problems.

My first session

Initial Appointment - What happens in the initial 50 minute appointment?

You will have filled in your short form. We can quickly go over that and the contract I’ve sent you to see if there is anything you are not ok with or don’t understand.

This isn’t as daunting as it sounds, to start therapy together it makes it safer for both of us if we understand the boundaries i.e. time limits, confidentiality, how we will work together and what you can expect.

You can discuss anything you want to in sessions and tell me what you aim to gain from our work together. This will allow you to see, if working with me is a good fit.

I will try to give you an indication of how long the work might take. Although that’s a bit tricky because you never know what will come out during the work.
