About me and my therapy practice
Hello my name is Alex Jamison and I am the founder of Adapt-Therapies.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or down? If so I'm sorry to hear it, but I can tell you that you're not alone and you've come to the right place to seek support. As I primarily focus on helping clients with understanding and managing stress, anxiety and depression, using a variety of evidence-based approaches and techniques - To help them gain a greater sense of control and enjoyment in their lives. Mindfulness is central part of my approach and something I am passionate about, both personally and professionally.
Practice description
I am an integrative psychotherapist, offering purely online therapy. My approach is made up of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Therapy and Attached Theory. I also draw upon Dialectical Behaivoural Therapy (DBT) and a Mindfulness Based Approach.
I strongly believe that an integrative approach is best, as we are all undeniably unique (As are the hurdles we face and the goals we have). So therapy must be able to adapt to the needs of each client, rather than adopting a 'one fits all approach' which simply is not best.
My first session
Seeking support in therapy can be daunting, believe me - I've been there. But, coming to my page is a great move and a productive step towards a happier you. I offer a free online, initial assessment session to get clients started. So if you are interested or just want to find out more, send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
This is a great opportunity for you to learn about myself, my practice and about the therapy process overall. I encourage you to ask any and all questions you have to ensure you feel fully up to speed. The next session is charged at half price (Just £20). These sessions allow us to decide whether or not therapy with myself is the right fit for you and your goals.
