About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I work in an integrative way, with a person centred approach, with your mind, body, and spirit. I have a Diploma in Humanistic counselling and have trained with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, which aids me in working with the body in psychotherapy. I include the body in therapy as both a source of information and a target for intervention, growth and healing. This helps to give a deep, effective and unified approach to healing.
I offer a warm and empathetic space where you can be heard and seen. We work together with whatever maybe troubling you, and go at your pace. Together we can discuss what you would like to gain from having counselling, you can voice your thoughts, worries and any problems. It could be overwhelming thoughts, a racing mind, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, abuse, trauma, or PTSD. We try and gain awareness of what is going on for you, look at ways to support you, and hopefully empower you on your way.
My first session
Feel free to give me a call or email, and we can arrange to have a 20-30 minute free chat to answer any questions you may have, and you can get a feel for how we might work together. In the first session we can explore what you would like to gain from counselling, and I can answer any questions that you might have.
