About me and my therapy practice

I am a highly experienced psychotherapist working with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, depression, traumas, eating disorders. I believe we can make substantial progress on the challenges you might be facing.

I propose to you to be partners of healing and my goal is for you to strengthen enough to achieve a harmony between your wishes and your life.

WHO I WORK WITH

Anxiety and Fears: I am specialized in supporting people with high levels of anxiety, stress, panic disorder, social anxiety and performance anxiety.

Depression: I help people who suffer from low mood, feeling down, lack of motivation and interest, exhaustion, poor memory and concentration.

Low self-esteem:. I support people with low self-esteem for them to live up to their potential and get rid of self-doubt which would lead to a fulfilling life.

Trauma: I am a trauma specialist and believe that I can help you to regain the control of your life after a traumatic experience.

Eating Disorders: I offer help for all the eating disorders including anorexia and bulimia as well as emotional eating.

Borderline Personality Disorder: I am a certified Schema Therapist who helped many people who has BPD and I believe that we can help you with the management of feelings, fear of abandonment, feeling down, high anxiety as well as suicidal ideations and transform your life for the better.

MY PSYCHOTHERAPY TRAINING

I am a psychotherapist with ten years of experience. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2012) and master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (2015) which I completed extensive psychotherapy training as part of the programme.

Previously, I worked as a psychotherapist for several charities such as Doctors of the World, Maya Foundation, Family Action and Imece Women's Centre.

I am an International Society of Schema Therapy certified Schema Therapist.

APPROACHES

Schema Therapy:

In schema therapy, we will work to uncover and understand your schemas, sometimes called as life traps which are unhelpful patterns. Schema therapy aims to teach you how to ensure your emotional needs are met in a healthy way that doesn’t cause distress.

You may find Schema therapy helpful if any of the following apply to you:

•You experience low levels of self-esteem, and struggle with self-worth

• You have relationship difficulties

• You struggle with friendships

• You worry a lot

• You feel constantly low

• You have body image problems

• You have eating problems and/ or eating disorders

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy:

It is a short term psychotherapy approach that help you to manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is the mostly recommended approach to treat anxiety, panic disorder, depression, OCD and PTSD.

I will help you to identify and challenge any negative thinking patterns and behaviour which may be causing you difficulties. In turn this can change the way you feel about situations, and enable you to change your behaviour in future. You and I might focus on what is going on in your life right now, but we might also look at your past, and think about how your past experiences impact the way you see the world.

Young Adults Therapy:

If you are a young person experiencing personal and emotional difficulties such as relationships with family, friends or partners, or you may have difficulties at school, college or work, I am here to understand what’s been troubling you and I tend to integrate the methods based on your needs to see the best outcome.

My first session

We will meet for an initial consultation session which takes between 50-60 minutes which we will discuss your needs, expectations, my style of working and come up with a plan if we decide to work together further.

In-person appointments take place in King's Cross. Online appointments are available.

I have previous training and extensive experience in online working and I see online therapy as a method of choice for many clients. I prefer to work online when you would like to receive online therapy and I find it as effective as face to face interaction.

I have previous training and extensive experience in online working and I see online therapy as a method of choice for many clients. I prefer to work online when you would like to receive online therapy and I find it as effective as face to face interaction.
