About me and my therapy practice

I’m a BACP accredited counsellor and have been described as calm and down-to-earth although I don't just "sit there", and am pro-active in offering thoughts and ideas. I'm welcoming to adults of all ages, gender, ethnicity, culture, disability, belief or sexual orientation.

Who am I ?

I have had a long career prior to training as a counsellor starting in the military, then in public service in various roles up to senior management level. I've also worked / volunteered for a number of organisations in emotional support roles including NHS, Carer's Support West Sussex and Olive Tree Cancer Support.

Theoretical orientation

I have a leaning towards third wave CBT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy) where therapy and spirituality can sometimes meet. I believe that un-hooking from repetitive thoughts, connecting to our inner sensations, acceptance and accessing the present moment can bring profound changes. Also looking at the past can often help us better understand the present. However, this all depends on what aspects of life you as the client would like to explore and what you would like to gain from therapy.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor based in Crawley in West Sussex. I offer sessions in-person, online or by phone

My first session

I offer a free no obligation phone /zoom consultation to see if you'd like to book the first session. This will last about 20 minutes.

If you decide to continue after that the fee is £40 for each therapeutic hour (50 minutes)

I charge the same whether in-person, zoom or phone
