About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision.
My approach is humanistic and creative. This means I hold a core belief that we have the capacity to heal ourselves, whatever that may mean for us, and therapy is one of the ways this can be done. My role, as a therapist, is to offer an emotional structure to facilitate exploration, understanding and healing. This is done in a collaborative way depending on the issues and circumstances presented. Sometimes words can feel inadequate and using creative materials and resources can usefully inform the therapeutic work. This can provide an alternative way of communicating and expression.
The qualities I bring to my work are sensitivity, empathy, openness, directness and creativity. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental and non-discriminatory environment.
