About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and I run a therapy practice two minutes from Earls Court tube station. (BA Hons, BD, PG Dip. Psych, MSC) www.thewestlondonpractice.co.uk
I understand that life can feel very difficult sometimes and that it can help to share this with someone impartial. As a registered psychotherapist in private practice, I work with clients on issues such as relationship difficulties, bereavement, suicidal thoughts, social phobias, abuse and loss of meaning. You may be feeling that you would like to enjoy life more or perhaps find a greater sense of meaning. This could include more meaningful relationships and a stronger sense of your own potential. Therapy involves listening very carefully to problems and thinking about the underlying causes – especially as they relate to the past.
I trained at WPF in London, one of the UK's leading training organisations for psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I abide by the BACP code of ethics. I also have an MSc in Psychological Therapies and Research from Exeter University. Prior to this I worked in radio and print journalism and have published two books.
I also have experience in the NHS with people with long-term and complex mental health needs. In addition I have worked in the voluntary sector, including the Samaritans.
Alongside psychotherapy I am trained in Spiritual Direction and accompany people from various backgrounds who are interested in developing their spirituality.
I am a registered member of BPC, (British Psychoanalytic Council), BACP and FPC, (the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling).
