About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety and fear around failure and taking risks? Has your self-worth become dependent on achievement? If your anxiety and perfectionism are keeping you from living the life you want, we may be a good fit. Together we will look at how you can change your relationship to your inner 'saboteur' or 'critic' without losing your motivation and ability to challenge yourself. I work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety and perfectionism around a wide range of life circumstances including at work, university, and about becoming parents.

Practice description

Hi, I'm Juulia! I like to think of myself as a 'cultural cocktail' with a North American accent. I'm an adult third-culture kid, recovering perfectionist, and adult child of a narcissistic parent. A bit of a mouthful! Those parts of my life story are what led me to become a therapist and I use my lived and professional experience in my work with clients.

I have over a decade of experience working in mental health. This time has taught me that mental health support is never one-size-fits-all. I will listen to your unique story and work collaboratively with you to find an approach that makes sense to you. I currently work fully online which means therapy can fit around your life and schedule.

My first session

I offer an initial 50 min session at half my usual rate. 

Our first session together is a place for us to get to know each other and create a collaborative understanding of what has brought you to therapy. 

Should we be a good fit, I am flexible about how frequently we meet as everyone has unique needs. Most of my clients choose to come weekly or every second week at the start of therapy before transitioning to less frequent contact closer to our ending.
