About me and my therapy practice

You may be experiencing anxiety, depression or anger, or you may be finding life a challenge. Perhaps you're struggling with relationships and would like to work on ways to improve them. You may be coming to terms with a trauma or a loss in your life and are looking to gain clarity, process your experience and see a way forward, or perhaps you simply feel that something in your life is not quite right. People come to therapy for a myriad of reasons.

Talking in a safe, confidential space can help you find perspective and clarity, enabling you to live your life more fully, develop your self-esteem, feel more confident and resourceful. Developing a positive outlook or introducing calmness and managing stress will make everything in your life seem easier. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, which can undoutedly at times be challenging, you have the opportunity to reflect differently upon those events and memories from the past that may be impacting on you today. Therapy can’t erase a difficult past but it can help you to move on, increase your resilience, and enable you to make positive changes going forward.

Arranging an initial (free) consultation is always a good idea, where together, we can focus on what you hope to achieve, leaving you free to decide whether you would like to proceed. Your goals will be unique to you.

Together we can explore difficulties which are disrupting your emotional well-being and work towards an outcome which helps you change or better manage the impact of those difficulties. I can help you to make sense of your experiences, recognise patterns, providing you with greater self-awareness and to be in tune with your thoughts and emotions. Therapy is under your control and can give you a deeper understanding of what you are feeling, why, and can help you to make effective, positive and lasting change. The aim of therapy is to eventually arrive at the stage where you no longer need it.
