About me and my therapy practice

** I am offering face to face and Online counselling to adults, older adults and teenagers**

Do you find yourself with feelings of disruption and overwhelm in your body which you don’t understand? Is it stopping your ability to thrive and flourish?

As you go through life, you may find you lose yourself as you experience obstacles, unexpected changes, losses or setbacks. You might forget self-care, whilst you focus on those around you instead of your own needs. As a result, your feelings can become suppressed, but the symptoms can show up as headaches, tightness in the body, anxiety, loss of control, anger, shame, low self worth, self blame, relationship issues or attachment re-enactments.

For young people, it is not always easy to talk about worries, difficult feelings or problems because they do not always have the resources to understand or process them. This can then result in difficult or challenging behaviours coming to the surface. I support young people through the therapeutic process with play, art and conversation.

Practice description

My approach is relational-integrative which allows flexibility to draw on a range of therapeutic models and works well, because everyone is unique and experiences life differently. Whilst working with you, I am attentive to your social, cultural, ethnic and gender identity to inform the counselling relationship.

The foundation to providing therapeutic healing is the relationship between the counsellor and client. It can be the most important relationship a person can have to understand themselves and start the journey to make the changes needed, to become your authentic self and bring harmony back into your mind, body and life.

Using a holistic approach, I will listen sensitively to you whilst working alongside you in a safe, empathic, confidential, and non-judgemental environment. You will have the space to explore your thoughts and feelings. We will work collaboratively together, as you become aware of your body’s internal source of wisdom, to allow for healing and build resilience.

Alongside my private practice, I also work in schools.
