About me and my therapy practice
I provide therapy in a safe and welcoming therapeutic space, wherein you can explore your concerns - at your own pace. Asking for help is not ‘a sign of weakness’; it demonstrates strength, courage and respect for oneself.
There are many reasons a person might decide to seek counselling, at any stage of their lives; each reason is valid and unique to the individual. There might be issues related to unresolved traumas in the past, or it might be that day-to-day pressures have become challenging and are affecting you. Whatever your reason is, it can be helpful to have a therapist who can work with you, to explore your concerns, offering you a deeper understanding of yourself, helping you move forward.
As a qualified and registered member of the BACP, I work integratively, with each individual clients’ needs at the forefront of the therapeutic work.
I work in varying counselling environments, including working with children; bereavement and loss; alcohol and drug rehabilitation and private practice.
WHY SEEK COUNSELLING?
I would like to acknowledge how the process of seeking help, might be daunting for you, especially if you have not engaged in counselling previously, or if you have not yet found the right 'fit' with a counsellor. Embarking on this search might be a strange and scary adventure, and I would like to reassure you, as much as possible, any feelings of anxiety or confusion around which choosing a counsellor/therapist, is natural.
If you have any questions regarding counselling, how it works and how we might work together, please do get in touch.
