About me and my therapy practice

I believe that healing comes through the development of a trusting relationship between counsellor and client. We will explore together your issues and problems and find solutions with each other. I am Person-Centred at my core as well as Integrative. This means that I work alongside you providing a warm and safe environment whilst exploring the right fit of therapy with you and for you. If you do not think it’s working, I want us to work together to find something that does. Our therapy room is your safe space for us to work together to investigate, understand and find ways to resolve your issues.

I am a qualified and licensed Counsellor with MNCS (Accred) and MBACP membership. I also regularly train in the latest neuroscience research to help you understand how your body and mind interact. I am currently undergoing extensive certified training in Trauma, PTSD and Dissociation. I have experience of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy whilst working as an Assistant Psychologist some years ago.

I have also specialized in Mentoring and Coaching and hold a Postgrad qualification. This means that I can also offer academic counselling and mentoring to those who are finding it hard to organise or motivate themselves whilst going through college or university. I can offer practical advice alongside psychological support.

I have worked for over twenty years delivering Psychology and specializing in Mental health issues alongside supporting adults (18 upwards) in their journey to find new careers and new lives. Therefore, I have quite a strong understanding of a variety of specific Mental Health disorders. The list includes Anxiety, Stress, Depression, OCD amongst others.

I look forward to working with you and our journey together!

Practice description

I work online only at the moment and offer services through Whatsapp and Zoom.

I am happy to negotiate a reduction in fees if a number of sessions are booked up front. We can discuss this.

I expect payment before each session. The session will not happen if payment has not been recieved.

If for any reason either of us need to cancel I would expect that we both give 48 hours notice unless it is an emergency.

My first session

In our first session I feel it is essential that a client goes away feeling that they have learnt something about themselves in order to begin to move forward.

However, as part of my license I have to go through a contract which will be shared with you and collect vital details just like a Healthcare Professional would. I will not be able to commence the therapy If I do not have this information by the second session.
