About me and my therapy practice
I am now working face to face.
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor/psychotherapist (person centred, CBT, psychodynamic) and registered member of the BACP. I have vast experience of working with adults and young people. I can help you identify what is important for you to achieve, and together we then explore the ways in which you feel able to do this. I will guide you to build greater trust in yourself, build self-esteem, raise your self-awareness, and increase motivation to take back control of your life. I work at your pace in a non-judgemental, calm, empathic manner, allowing you the space to explore what brought you to therapy. My clients are always at the heart of the sessions.
I am also fully trained in pre trial therapy and can offer a safe way to access therapy in the period leading up to a trial.
Please feel free to message me so that I can answer your counselling questions and we can decide together what you wish from counselling and if I am the right counsellor for you. I understand how daunting this may feel.
I am fully insured and hold a current enhanced DBS certificate.
I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, relationship issues, disability as well as loss and bereavement. I can offer both short and long-term therapy. In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience providing trauma counselling in the charity sector, I work as a counsellor in a leading secondary school.
Throughout COVID-19 I have been worked with NHS staff and vulnerable adults.
I provide my clients with a non-judgemental, safe environment which helps to remove barriers. I am now working face to face, although I can offer remote services by client request, during COVID I trained as an online counsellor.
My first session
I have returned to face to face sessions. Please contact me if you would like a free 20-minute online consultation to discuss what brings you to counselling, your expectations from it and to allow you to ask me any questions regarding how I can help you. We will complete a short assessment; at this stage I will not take a lot of personal details. If at the end of the consultation you decide that you wish to proceed, we will find a convenient day and time that is good for us both. Each further session lasts 50 minutes. Flexible sessions are available for shift workers. Please contact me to arrange this no obligation call to discuss your needs and concerns.
