About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for help and connection is one of the bravest and kindest things we can do for ourselves. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, depressed or anxious, you don't have to feel it alone.

I have experienced the transformative power of therapy both as client and as counsellor. It is my belief and experience that things can change for the better, no matter how unlikely it may seem, when we have the right support.

My work as a suicide prevention therapist and training in trauma have deepened this belief, and enabled me to sit with a wide range of experience. Whatever you are bringing, it is welcome here.

Practice description

As a person-centred therapist, my offering is a relationship in which you will be deeply heard and accepted without judgement. Together we will work to make sense of what is happening for you right now, to challenge narratives, explore core beliefs, build resilience, nurture self-compassion and awareness, and importantly, to find new ways forward.

My knowledge of the mind-body connection and the varied effects of trauma strongly inform my work. My focus is on supporting you through your challenges, and empowering you to strengthen your sense of self, so you can make the unique changes that feel right for you. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and would love to help you believe that too.

My first session

The relationship between you and your therapist forms the basis of your therapy experience. It is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with and confident in. I would encourage you to reach out, ask questions, make use of initial free sessions and trust your gut when choosing who to work with.

I offer an initial 15 minute online call free of charge. We can use this time to answer any questions you might have, talk about the kind of therapy I offer, and get to know each other so we can find out if we are a good fit.
