About me and my therapy practice
Everyone deserves the right to be heard, understood and accepted; no matter what they have been through or where they come from. I hope we can work together to create a space where this is possible.
Maybe you want to learn to cope with difficult feelings, maybe you want to feel empowered and more hopeful, maybe you want to understand yourself and your emotions better? Or perhaps, like many of us, you have been through something difficult recently or long ago, that needs to come out. Gaining insight into ourselves, helps us to feel happier, and more able to move forward.
Therapy with me is about feeling seen and heard. I will not judge you, your story or your feelings. What I will do, is try to understand your feelings and story as much as possible, and work with you to find happiness and change. I have been trained in an ‘integrative’ way; so our work and focus is led depending on what you need from our sessions.
The relationship and connection with your counsellor is very important; without it, how can you feel comfortable to open up? I know it takes a lot of courage to see a counsellor, and I do what I can to support you through the process. My focus throughout our work will be on our relationship, a relationship that is open, non-judgmental, accepting and empowering.
My first session
I offer a free consultation call, to allow you to ask any questions about the process and to decide if you feel we can work well together.
Our first session is all about building a solid relationship, at your pace. We will talk together about what you are hoping to gain from counselling and begin to build a picture of you and how I can help you as best I can. We can work in an open ended way; either short term or long term, depending on your needs.
I currently have availability for face to face sessions in Clapham, Online counselling (via Zoom), Telephone Counselling and Walk and Talk Therapy. I offer concession rates for young people/students.
