About me and my therapy practice

Having worked in the mental health industry for over 10 years, I understand how much of an impact emotional problems can have on life. I’ve also seen first-hand how strong the healing process can be when the right relationship qualities, approach and care are offered.

During my diverse career and education so far, I’ve worked with people of all ages, with various struggles and in a range of capacities. This has allowed me to develop wide-ranging experience and allows me to provide a high-quality therapeutic service for many different emotional strains in life. My longstanding career and training within this field has only boosted my passion for alleviating emotional distress and worries. So, no matter what it is that has brought you to my page, I would be privileged to be alongside you on your counselling journey, starting with an introductory consultation to establish how we might begin the work together.

It is my belief that counselling can be a very powerful tool. Combining my own experience as a previous client of counselling with my training and career, I have implemented what contributes to the healing process in my approach as a counsellor. My skills are rooted in person-centred theory. This approach puts you and your emotions at the centre of all the work we undertake and is the foundation of our working relationship. This approach and the strong relationship it produces allows us to create understanding, positive challenges and self-growth.

Practice description

Throughout life, I have always valued integrity, honesty and compassion. These values have shaped my experiences, career and have ultimately led me to set up Alleviate Counselling and Psychotherapy; a private practice based in Dukinfield, where I can integrate these values into the practice to ensure the best possible experience and therapy is provided to my clients.
