About me and my therapy practice
Do you find yourself:
- anxious, overwhelmed, struggling to cope?
- avoiding people, places or activities you used to do or enjoy? Perhaps you are having difficulty functioning at work or home?
- with low mood, feeling helpless and hopeless?
- You may not even remember or know what caused this change in your life however you know you want things to change for the better.
- You are not alone, I’m here to support and help you.
I’m Therese, an integrative relational therapist. The heart of my approach is to develop a strong, non-judgemental, therapeutic relationship with you to enable your personal growth and positive change.
I use a variety of tools and evidenced based techniques that will support you to understanding yourself, the issues impacting your life today; and how you can get to living your life the way you want and deserve.
I work in collaboration with you – your goals are my goals - we will be on this journey together.
Practice description
As every client is different, to ensure you receive the most appropriate, cost effective and ethical therapeutic treatment I can offer, I’ll undertake an assessment with you to get a baseline measure of where you are now, to determine and discuss therapy options with you.
If your assessment suggests you have PTSD or complex PTSD, I will use trauma-focused therapy that meets NICE* guidelines for working with trauma. Therapy includes psychoeducation about reactions to trauma; strategies to manage arousal and flashbacks; safety planning; emotion regulation; help to overcome avoidance and re-establishing adaptive functioning for your work and social life. With trauma therapy the number of sessions will be determined by your personal circumstances and the severity of your symptoms.
I offer short and long-term therapy for adults and young people either online by telephone, Zoom, WhatsApp or face-to-face in Feltham, Kew, Kingston, Richmond, Twickenham, and surrounding areas.
Would you like a no obligation free 15 minute telephone consultation? Call or email me to arrange an appointment.
Session duration:
The first session will be 1.5 hours for assessment purposes
Following sessions will be 1 hour
Session cost: £80
