About me and my therapy practice
My main model of practice is Relational using psychoanalytic ideas and the therapeutic relationship to promote psychological and emotional change. Through this I have been helping people to make sense of their current feelings and behaviours by connecting up all aspects of their life and identifying relationship patterns and events in the past and present. This in turn promotes a deeper self understanding. I also have specialist knowledge in PTSD and trauma processing from research for an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have also attended training courses for processing trauma and safe trauma practice for example from therapists who worked with survivors of the 7/7 2005 London Underground attacks.
I work from a modern therapy room in the setting of a former working Mill in the centre of Leeds. Together we can build a therapeutic relationship that will provide you with the space you need for exploration and reflection to live a more fulfilled and engaged life.
