I offer sessions during weekdays between 9am and 5pm.

Hello, I'm Louise.  I would like to tell you a little about my counselling practice and what I feel I can offer. I am an experienced counsellor and counselling supervisor.

My very successful practice has been established for 15 years now.

My counselling approach is primarily psychodynamic.  However, I work integratively, tailoring the therapy, to work uniquely with each client, to meet individual needs or requirements.  

I have worked with many individuals within a wide range of professions over the years.

I am trained in EMDR to work with trauma. 

I have experience of working with people experiencing all types of domestic violence and abuse, having run a counselling service within a refuge, for women and children escaping domestic abuse, for a number of years.

I work professionally and ethically to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) 'Ethical Framework for The Counselling Professions'.

I am Enhanced DBS checked.

My therapy room is based within a private clinic, which is conveniently situated in a town centre location. It is within walking distance from the bus and train stations and there is car parking nearby.

The room is situated on the first floor of the building, accessed via a staircase, with pleasant views overlooking gardens.  It does not, unfortunately, provide wheelchair access.

The room provides a calm and pleasant space for you to sit, relax and reflect. You will be attentively listened to and will hopefully gain insight and understanding into what may be troubling you presently.  The counselling process will then help and support you to move forward in a positive and constructive way.

The initial consultation session provides a space for us to meet, talk and explore in more detail your current situation and what you feel that you are seeking counselling for at the present time.

You have a chance to relax and ask any questions they may have about any aspect of the therapeutic experience.

My private practice is set within a quiet and pleasant, town centre location, which is accessible by car or public transport.  

There is paid town centre car parking outside the building and nearby.
