About me and my therapy practice
Hi, thanks for visiting my profile. I am interested in people, what makes us who we are, and how life events affect us. I understand that life has many challenges and at times we can find ourselves in a difficult place with thoughts and feelings which we find frustrating and confusing. Feeling trapped and out of control can have adverse effects on our quality of life.
I offer face to face sessions in ground floor accommodation, in a COVID safe environment with appropriate distancing and safety measures in place. If you would prefer I can also offer Zoom sessions.
As an integrative counsellor, I can adapt my practice to meet your individual needs, ensuring that you feel heard and understood, without judgement, allowing us to explore how repetitive cycles of thoughts feelings and relationships can hold you back. I provide a warm, safe space where you can feel comfortable to explore what's happening for you. We can work together at a suitable pace for you to enable you to develop new perspectives, coping skills and new ways of being so that you can manage difficulties in your life more effectively.
My approach as an Integrative Counsellor is primarily Person Centred, with a combination of CBT and psychodynamic theories.
I offer short term sessions and longer term sessions depending on your personal requirements.

I have experience in working with many issues (stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, low self esteem, depression, domestic abuse, and many other issues in a Health Centre and in a Community Organisation in Belfast.
My first session
As it is very important that you feel comfortable in your sessions, I offer a free initial session so that we can meet together, discuss what's brought you to counselling and decide whether you would like to book further sessions.
