About me and my therapy practice

Located in Surrey, my private practice offers a secure and nurturing environment for individuals, couples, and young people, including child therapy. If you are seeking child therapists nearby, I possess the necessary expertise to effectively support young individuals in navigating their challenges and difficulties. With extensive experience in the field, I have served as a therapist at reputable institutions like The Priory Group, Woking Hospice, NHS, and various esteemed addiction agencies. Furthermore, I hold accreditation from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have received training at the esteemed treatment centre, Onsite Workshops in Nashville, USA. My qualifications include a Masters and B.A (Hons) in psychotherapy, and I am currently doing a doctorate on EMDR. I am also EMDR accredited and one of the few therapists in the UK with specialised skills as an EMDR child therapist. I have recently also added brainspotting as another trauma desensitisation therapy.

Practice description

In every therapeutic situation, I believe it is essential to employ the correct techniques and approach to achieve the most effective outcomes for the individual. At our practice, we combine Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) with a wide range of therapeutic techniques, ensuring that we do not heavily rely on just one type of technique. This approach allows me to witness remarkable progress and transformation in my clients.

I understand that everyone's brain is neurologically wired differently, making it imperative to tailor therapeutic techniques to each individual's unique neurological makeup.

For me, the key to successful therapy lies in understanding which techniques are best suited to each type of brain, enabling me to maximize the effectiveness of the treatment.

By taking into account the type of neurological wiring presented by each client, I have developed a personalised approach that is tailored to their specific needs. This approach leads to more successful and rapid outcomes. By leveraging the power of personalised therapy, I can ensure that each patient receives the most effective treatment for their individual type of wiring.
