About me and my therapy practice
We face challenges everyday and sometimes trying to find ways to cope, can prove to be overwhelming, causing unwanted emotions which can begin to affect our daily lives. Seeking help is the first step to finding a way through the uncomfortable emotions and to get a deeper sense of yourself and the situation to allow you to make sense of what is going on, in order to make change.
As a person centred counsellor, I provide a confidential, accepting, non-judgemental and safe space where you can be yourself and speak freely without judgement. My hope is that you would explore what may be going on for you and causing you concern. Here, you can reflect on your emotions and find a way forward to a more comfortable state of being and begin to find ways of coping.
I work for an independent local charity offering counselling to those caring for others who are unable to manage without them, due to challenges such as illness, disability, additional needs or mental health issues. Previously I worked at Mind with people who experienced difficult emotions such as grief, guilt, confusion, sadness, anger and low self esteem, just to name a few.
