About me and my therapy practice
Initially trained as a Person -centred counsellor, so listening and allowing a safe space for you to express your thoughts and feelings is an important part of the therapy. I am able to work short or long term with clients.
I have attended further training and developed skills. One of those being brief Person -centred therapy, helped by working as a counsellor in a GP surgery for 12 years. I also worked for a local counselling charity (14 years)and on a contract counselling those leaving custodial service, helping them gain self awareness.
My special interest has been in creative therapies and i have experienced 5 years as part of art therapy group work. Some ideas I may use in therapy .
I am also trained in Emotional freedom Technique (EFT) or Tappingas it is better known. I hold an Accredited certified EFT practitioner qualification. This is something I have found useful myself and to support others with Anxiety and stress issues.
I now work with couples as well as individual adults.
I work from my specially appointed, comfortable room at home, with ground level access. With parking outside the door and on the outskirts of Oswestry , so easily accessible by road.
