About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP Accredited counsellor with many years' experience of working with those affected by trauma, violence and abuse, either as children or as adults. I also specialise in working with those experiencing issues with personal or professional relationships. My approach is never to judge, to see you as the individual that you are, and to help you heal and make the changes that you want in your life. My work is based on the Person Centred approach, integrated as appropriate with other theories and approaches including Transactional Analysis and Attachment Theory. I am also a fully accredited practitioner in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. EMDR is the treatment recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
