About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults and young people from age 11 and help navigate a range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, and many others.

We all face times in our life which are challenging. Whatever your current experience, Counselling & Psychotherapy can give you the opportunity to ‘unpack’ what is happening for you.

If you feel weighed down, just not quite yourself and need to talk to someone who will listen and support you.

My approach

As an integrative practitioner I am trained in different therapeutic approaches which allow me to adapt my way of working to accommodate each of my client’s individual needs:

• Person-centred therapy - supports increased understanding of who you are as an individual, and the values that you hold true to yourself, leading to greater insight and self-acceptance.

• Psychodynamic therapy - considers how experiences from your past may be affecting how you perceive the world and your relationships in the present day. If relevant, then our sessions can provide an opportunity to explore and uncover this.

I view the client-therapist relationship as the bedrock of our work together, and endeavor to provide a safe, empathic and non-judgmental space. Where helpful and appropriate, I may also share some psycho-education with you, in order to increase your insight and understanding of your experiences.

Practice description

I am available for face-to-face, Zoom or telephone sessions. For face-to-face sessions, my practice is located in Wrecclesham with easy parking.

My first session

I understand that taking that first step of reaching out for counselling can feel scary. That is why I always offer you 20-minute chat before committing.  This is your chance to ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work, allowing you to decide if you’d like to move forward with me.

In this initial session we will talk together about what is affecting you, we will talk how we work might work together and the support you need.
