About me and my therapy practice
In private practice since 2013 I am an experienced Integrative Supervisor and counsellor interested in Polyvagal Theory, Short Term Intensive Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and I am also a Trauma and Stress Release Exercises (TRE) teacher in training.
I provide compassionate and gentle support to develop curiosity and deeper exploration of your clients, your practice and yourself. Using creativity we'll find the right strategies to support both you and your practice.
My work is (with gratitude) influenced by the work of Dr Steven Porges, Deb Dana, Dr Robert Neborski, Josette ten Have-de Labije, Dr David Bercelli , Dr John Sarno, Steve Haines, Dr Bessel Van Der Kolk, Dr Gabor Mate and Dr Nadine Burke- Harris (The ACE's Study)
Practice description
My practice is integrative and I 'listen with my eyes' to check where the client is in their autonomic nervous system to encourage the client to move into social connection so they feel safe enough to access therapy and take in information. I work creatively and we look at the whole bodies process in a trauma informed way. I offer the same practical support within supervision. I invest heavily in ongoing CPD and life-long learning and I have recently completed advanced intensive therapy (ISTDP) training as well as ongoing TRE teacher training.
My first session
Prior to the first session an initial assessment form is completed so that I have more information you'd like to achieve during therapy. If I think I can offer you the type of support you may be looking for we can arrange a complimentary 15minute zoom call or phone call so you can ask me any questions about the way I work.
If we agree that we'd like together appointments will either be in person Bromley or via zoom.
During the initial appointment you get more of an idea of how we may work together and if you'd like to commit to an initial 6 appointments. During this time you will definitely know if you are getting what you want and need from the sessions. By week four you can decide if you wish to either end sessions on week 6 or enter into either time limited or longer term therapy.
The first appointment is always a bit more anxiety inducing, don't worry as this soon fades as the process becomes more familiar. We may need to spend a little time reducing anxiety symptoms if they are getting in the way of paying careful attention to what you want to work on.

I work creatively and we look at the whole bodies process in a trauma informed way. I offer the same practical support within supervision. I invest heavily in ongoing CPD and life-long learning. I have completed 4 years of post qualification and advanced intensive therapy (ISTDP) training as well as ongoing TRE teacher training. I have also trained in PolyVagal Theory's Safe and Sound Protocol (I am not currently offering this practice).
As well as private practice in Bromley (since 2013) I have experience of working with GP and IAPT referrals as well as counselling the whole way through the education system from primary and secondary schools to college and university levels as well as in the NHS within women's specialist health.
Prior to working within counselling, I worked as a health coaching specialising in disordered eating patterns including food addictions, depression, bulimia and binge eating. I have also supported health recovery and wellbeing, as well as working with students with specific learning differences and emotional behavioural difficulties.
