About me and my therapy practice
Coronavirus - I am available for on-line sessions.
Please contact me either by phone or e-mail and we can arrange an initial assessment session to establish what you are currently experiencing and what you would like to get from your therapy sessions.
For face-to-face sessions, I provide therapy in a calm, comfortable environment in which you are free to talk safely about difficult emotional issues without fear of rejection, judgement, criticism, or blame.
Based in the Mansion House / Cannon Street area and in a strictly confidential environment, as a psychotherapist I offer you the space to work through any particular areas in your life that may be troubling you. In particular, counselling and therapy can help you with (but is not limited to) any of the following problems:-
Emotional issues including:-
Feelings of depression, stress at work or home, anger, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, bereavement or loss, traumatic events, sexual abuse, psychological abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, redundancy.
Personal issues including:-
Loneliness, sadness, feelings of being empty, loss of direction and meaning in your life, unhappiness from your childhood, unresolved issues from the past, adjusting to changes in your life, sexuality (including gay, lesbian, or bisexual issues), addiction, obsessions
Relationship issues such as:-
Inability to form or sustain relationships, feelings around separation, family conflicts, difficulty in balancing home and work life, emotional and personal relationship difficulties, a desire to seek a greater self-knowledge and to develop yourself further.
My first session
The initial consultation is the opportunity for us to meet and explore your needs and the difficult feelings that have made you consider therapy at this time.
It may well feel daunting if this is your first time exploring therapy but it is my aim to put you at ease so that you can freely talk about whatever is troubling you.
It is also an opportunity for me to find out about you and we will also explore what it is that you would like to gain from the therapy sessions.
Should you feel that I am a therapist that you would like to work with, we will arrange a second session to meet the following week where we can discuss how the first session went for you and to fix a regular day and time to meet going forward.
The initial consultation will last between 1 and 1½ hours.
