About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor who works face-to-face with adults over 18 years of age. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work under their Ethical Framework to ensure I work safely and with my clients' best interests in mind.
I have a relaxed and friendly approach to my work, taking time to build a trusting relationship with my clients. I can offer a safe space where you can speak without judgement and in confidence and I will be warm, accepting and respectful of your thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
Although I take my influence from the psychodynamic principles, I believe that the most important aspect of my work is the relationship with my clients. Therapeutic healing cannot happen if trust and understanding is not present in the relationship. To help achieve this we will work together at a pace that you feel comfortable with and I will not tell you what to do but instead help you towards finding your own solutions.
