About me and my therapy practice

I am trained to Masters level in pluralistic counselling. Pluralism is an innovative, goal-focused form of counselling that uses a variety of techniques from different therapy models (e.g. CBT, person-centred, psychodynamic, solution-focused) to help meet the individual needs of clients. Since pluralistic therapy uses an eclectic range of therapy models and techniques so that clients can reach their goals, it can be summed up as counselling as a bespoke service. Indeed, one of the defining advantages of pluralism is that it gives clients the freedom to choose, in consultation with their therapist, the therapy and techniques that suit them best as individuals.

Apart from being a pluralistic therapist, I also have academic training to doctorate level in English literature and my first degree was in philosophy. Both these subjects also influence how I work with clients: firstly, I can sensitively 'close read' my clients'  life stories and can help them to 'rewrite' the narrative so that they can move on with their life; secondly, my training in philosophy provides me with the ability to help my clients clarify their thinking, dispute their negative beliefs, and to make wise choices in their lives.

I am available in Harley st. London on Tuesdays as part of the Westlake clinic. When getting in touch, please mention that you wish to see me in Harley street.
