Monday to Friday hours are 8AM to 4PM Malaysian time, which is 12AM to 8AM British time.
Saturday and Sunday hours are 9AM to 1230PM Malaysian time, which is 1AM to 430AM British time.
Malaysian time is GMT plus 8, so we are 8 hours ahead of the UK.
Flexible: upon arrangement, will work 7AM-8AM Malaysia/11PM-12AM UK and 4PM-5PM Malaysia/8AM-9AM UK weekdays
About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in helping clients manage stress, depression and anxiety. I'm Scottish-Dutch, married to an American, and we have lived in Malaysia these last 22 years. I work with a multi-cultural client base in South East Asia, the Middle East, Australia and the USA.
I work online via Skype, WhatsApp, Google Meet and Messenger Video conferencing. It's efficient and very discreet. International payment is over Paypal.
If you are concerned about stigma, or are LGBTQ in a country where this is dangerous/illegal, please be assured that all my sessions are confidential.
I work in English only, but I speak Dutch as well as reasonable Spanish, German and some Malay and Indonesian.
I am an eclectic practitioner, which means I use various therapy techniques.
When we talk, I'll suggest a strategy that I think will suit the situation best. When there are choices of approaches, I will explain the pros and cons of each, and how they work, and you choose which you want to use.
My first session
The first chat is free. Once you drop me an email, we'll have a very brief conversation to make sure that the technology works for us and that we can work together. We also discuss confidentiality, what happens in emergencies, and more. It lasts about 15 minutes and is free. If we click, we schedule sessions.
In the first paid session, we discuss your goals in detail, examine background, and figure out the approach we will use. If you work with me on a weekend, that first paid session is an hour. If it's during the week, we may talk a bit longer. I'm not a clock watcher; if we're going good, an extra fifteen minutes is fine with me.
