About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling to find the best way forward? Do you feel distressed and more troubled than usual? Perhaps you are feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by a certain situation or have a past experience that is still impacting your life today. You may not know why you are experiencing a low mood or anxiety, but you are already taking the first step towards change and I’m here to help you take the next.
I am a warm, friendly therapist offering face to face sessions in a private room in Chorlton. I use a person-centred approach to help you navigate through what you are experiencing. Everyone is unique and no issue feels the same. I won’t tell you what you should do but instead offer insight and help to guide and support you through your personal growth.
Whilst I am currently an NHS mental health worker and fully qualified registered counsellor and psychotherapist, I also have 12 years of experience as a secondary and further education teacher. I enjoy working with a range of ages, and you can be assured that I have the knowledge and practice to work with you. If you are or have a young person in need of additional support. Please get in touch.
I work with a range of issues including anxiety and anger management, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bereavement, early childhood trauma, stress, personality disorders, sexual trauma, loss, identity, relationships, domestic abuse, self-harm, low self-esteem, and sleep issues.
My private practice is based at The Wellbeing Place in Chorlton, Manchester, and is easily accessible by car or public transport. I offer face to face session and due to Covid-19, I also offer therapy sessions online (via Zoom/Skype) or over the phone.
My first session
The most important aspect of therapy is having the right therapist. I offer an initial, free, 30-minute telephone consultation. This for us to explore if you are comfortable and confident moving forward with me as a therapist.
In this consultation, we discuss your needs and expectations. You can gain a better understanding of who I am, what I can offer, and ask me any questions you may have.
There is absolutely no obligation and I genuinely hope that you find the right therapist for you. If you feel ready to take that next step, give me a call or send me a message to book your consultation. I am here and I am ready to listen.
