About me and my therapy practice

I offer a face to face service or using video platforms or telephone if you prefer.

Depressed, anxious, frightened, isolated, rejected, angry or feeling nothing at all, just numb? You may feel you have nobody to talk to and no way to express yourself freely and safely. You may fear that nobody understands or gets you.

You might want to make a change in your life and need some help to identify the steps required, or just need to talk through what you would like to achieve and how.

You may be looking for meaning and purpose, and a clearer sense of your own identity. Sometimes we get lost.

Talking to someone who is independent, where there is empathy, authenticity and no judgement, like a Counsellor, can lead to positive changes in your life through an new or rekindled awareness of your own innate abilities of self love (esteem), love for others, resilience, motivation, happiness, kindness, forgiveness, excitement, autonomy and independence.

Practice description

Intuitively Person Centered, I naturally and gently focus on what you bring and how you perceive yourself consciously, unconsciously and intuitively, whilst respecting your innate free will, creativity and human potential.

I recognise the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of successful therapeutic work.

I have worked in charity and community settings providing counselling and psychotherapy services to people aged 16 to 90 from many walks of life. I have provided emotional support to victims of crime and acted as an Independant Advocate for young people. I have experience of working with young people on the Autistic Spectrum.

'It is only in the state of complete abandonment and loneliness that we experience the helpful powers of our own nature'

(Carl Jung)

My first session

I understand it can be difficult to reach out for help, so I make the contact we have easy. You can contact me via text, email or phone call and get a sense of me, how I work and decide whether I am a fit for you. At the same time I can get a sense of what is going on for you and we can talk together about how to move forward.

My hourly fee is £50 per hour. I have a small number of lower cost places for students and those on a limited income. Fees for these can be negotiated on a case by case basis.
