About me and my therapy practice
An experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor for both Individuals & Couples, my private practice is in Chelmer Village, Chelmsford & has ample free parking. I offer a safe, non-judgemental & confidential space, for you to talk about issues or emotions that are troubling you. Together we can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings, to enable you to move towards increasing self-awareness and understanding of how to move forward with your life and your relationships.
While my original training was in Psychodynamic Counselling, subsequent additional training (for example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) has enabled, where appropriate, me to incorporate useful ideas and approaches into my counselling work with clients.
My first session
I offer prospective clients, both Individual Clients and Couples, a free 1/2 hour initial consultation, so that we can meet and decide whether I am the right Counsellor for you. If we agree to proceed, there is usually enough time for me to explain my confidentiality policy and to note some brief contact details.
In our first full session (50 minutes), you will be able to talk about what has brought you to counselling and I will also take this opportunity to ask you about some of the important events and experiences that have shaped your life so far.
