About me and my therapy practice
During Covid-19 I am offering counselling either face-to-face, online via secure video link or by telephone.
We all face challenges at some point in our lives, and it can sometimes feel hard to know where to turn. Sharing your personal problems with someone who is ready to listen calmly and without judgement whilst you talk about what’s going on can give you clarity and resilience and more choice in making important life decisions. With time and the opportunity to talk to me openly about feelings that can be hard to face or make sense of, you can begin to gain greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns of behaviour and what you need.
Practice description
I work with a relational and collaborative approach, informed by the belief that as humans, we are naturally drawn to being in relationship with one another. With this in mind, the quality of our relationship is key to a reparative experience.
My integrative training means that I can work flexibly using a range of different theories and practices that suit you. I strive to encourage a respectful and supportive therapeutic relationship to develop, through which we can explore any difficulties - current or historical - that may feel confusing or overwhelming. I don’t offer advice on how you should live your life and I am not here to change you or make you talk about anything you don’t feel ready to share.
I am bound by the rules and ethical codes of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My first session
Each session lasts 50 minutes. During our first meeting, you will have the chance to talk about your difficulties in a quiet and confidential space and decide whether you feel comfortable with me. If you would like to go ahead, we can discuss whether to proceed on a short-term or long-term basis and arrange a suitable time to meet each week.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist offering help with a wide range of issues that may be impacting your life. You might be feeing confused or overwhelmed by unwanted thoughts and feelings.
Anxiety, depression and relationship problems can be deeply challenging to cope with alone. Together we can look at your experiences and relationships to identify any thoughts and behaviours that are holding you back, exploring where and how you might make changes and live a happier life.
Practice description
Research indicates that it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist that is the key to positive change. I aim to encourage a respectful and supportive relationship to develop between us, through which we can explore any difficulties whether they be recent or historical.
My integrative training covers theories from a range of different psychotherapeutic models which help me decide on the best way of supporting you. I am bound by the rules and ethical codes of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
