About me and my therapy practice
A little about me - I am an experienced Therapist based in therapy rooms in Tarleton Lancashire. I am a registered and fully accredited member of the BACP and I work in a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental manner within an ethical framework. I am qualified in Person-Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have experience Counselling in the NHS, Voluntary sector and in Higher Education. I have a recent enhanced DBS clearance.
Often in life Many of us will go through difficulties and it is not always possible to share our concerns with those closest to us, in this way counselling can provide a safe space to share your worries without feeling judged. I understand how challenging it can be to talk about painful feelings and there is no pressure to talk about anything you are not ready to.
I have a passionate belief in everyone's ability to change and grow in a unique way that is right for them and I offer a safe environment in which you can explore and make sense of your feelings and gain insight.
My Person-Centred background means that you can direct the session by exploring any issue that is important to you. I emphasise in my approach that every one of us has the tools within themselves to grow in a way that is unique to them and therefore in each session I value respect for your individuality in a way that empowers and finds solutions that best suit you.
