About me and my therapy practice

There are times in your life when things change unexpectedly, feelings of anxiety can increase and life just might not seem to make sense. I will listen to your individual experience with empathy to understand what life is like for you.

Are you always putting others' needs first, comparing yourself to others? Holding back what you want to say afraid of what others may think. Finding yourself overwhelmed by a sense of sadness or depression you just can't shake. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental confidential space to talk and be heard.

It may seem embarrassing or painful to talk about what’s been happening. You may worry you won’t be understood by family and friends? As an integrative counsellor I will treat you as the expert on yourself, as no one else knows exactly what it’s like to be you.

I can help you explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence.

Practice description

I am currently offering face-to-face sessions at Winnington Hall in  Northwich and Cheshire Wellness Centre in Lymm. For those clients who are not able to attend face-face sessions I also offer the option of Zoom and telephone sessions.

Sessions are open ended, allowing you to work at your own pace and decide how much support you need and for how long. We will review your progress at various intervals to ensure that your sessions are providing what you hoped they would.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and self sabotage, additionally supporting many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My experience working as a counsellor within various educational settings has afforded me the ability to work with clients of various ages. Additionally I have  worked with women and families whilst volunteering for an organisation supporting women experiencing Post Natal Illness.

My therapy style is warm and interactive but the pace will always be set by you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatising labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, psychodynamic and others I can discuss with you as we develop our counselling relationship. I will tailor our sessions to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

My first session
