About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) and I am currently undertaking a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I work alongside children, adolescents and young adults, with a wide range of mental health concerns and worries. I am experienced working with individuals who self-harm, and alongside people who struggle with issues related to their sexual and gender identity. No matter how you identify, you and your struggles are welcome in my practice.
In my work with LGBTQ and gender diverse clients I position myself as an ally. Sexual and gender diversity is not in itself a reason to seek therapy; you are not 'unwell' if you identify other than heterosexual or cisgender. I can support you if you are struggling with issues around your sexuality or gender. I am a cisgender woman and my pronouns are she/her.
I would describe myself as open, respectful, kind, compassionate, non-judgemental.
