About me and my therapy practice
It can feel bewildering trying to choose a counsellor and I want to assure you that I will try to help you to make the right decision for you. I believe that building a relationship of trust, acceptance and understanding between my client and myself is most important to the success of our work together.
Being able to talk to those close to us can sometimes be difficult. As your counsellor, I will listen carefully to what you're experiencing and work alongside you to make sense of what it is causing these feelings and how you can work towards living your best life.
I believe that every individual is unique, and as an integrative therapist I have a broad range of skills that I can call upon to tailor the best support for you.
My first session
Our first session is important as it is an opportunity for you to make sure that you feel comfortable and confident in working with me as your therapist. At this meeting, I will help you to understand how I work and give you assurance and information about the confidentiality of our work together.
I will ask you questions to understand more about your life and what has brought you to this meeting at this time. This discussion will enable us both to decide if we will work together. It will also enable me to understand what you hope to get from coming to therapy.
We will agree our working practice by signing a brief contract.
