About me and my therapy practice
As a person-centred integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I draw on a variety of theories and approaches that place you as client at the heart of the work. Building on a trust-based relationship, I can provide you with strategies to help cope with your immediate situation and look at the ways you'd like to change.
I grew up on the Isle of Wight but have lived in a number of different countries and speak French, Spanish, German and Italian. Having worked as an interpreter for 17 years, I have a good understanding of cultural difference and its impacts.
I trained at Regent's College London and Metanoia Institute and have worked for general counselling agencies as well as specialist LGBTQ+, HIV and cancer support services.
I'm particularly in tune to issues of 'otherness' and can help you navigate through issues of identity and belonging.
Each session is a chance for you to focus on current issues and if they're linked to the past, to find ways of helping you resolve them so you can move on with your life. I provide an open space where you can be honest about what's going on for you without fear of judgment.
