About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor; I provide a safe, kind and non-judgmental environment for you to process your thoughts feelings, actions and circumstances. I believe that everyone has the right to self-exploration. By releasing some pressure, you can find the space and energy to implement change. And in turn find a different perspective
There are times we know what the problem is and times we don’t, times we think it is one thing and it actually appears to be another.
Often parts of ourselves want different things, sometimes the feelings that accompany these needs can feel unacceptable or unbearable.
In an attempt to silence them, we ignore, push down to try to get rid of these parts. The attempt to silence these parts means they find new and extreme ways to be heard causing disruption and distress in one’s life.
Therapy gives you the opportunity to identify how your coping mechanisms came to be. It allows you to make choices about how you view them. And to make your own decisions about what is and is not serving you.
I work with all kinds of presenting issues and have a special interest in Eating Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Dyslexia, Family issues and Low self esteem.

Feeling anxious about beginning therapy is totally normal. One of the most important things to hold onto is that you are under no obligation to go with a therapist if it does not feel right!!
I have outlined the steps to making contact. These steps are important, as they to give you time to think about what you would like, without feeling put on the spot.
- Send me an email, call or text, letting me know you are interested in seeing if we could work together. We then arrange a free consultation session via phone or zoom.
- In the consultation session, I will introduce myself further and tell you about how I work. I will ask a bit more about what you are experiencing, what it is you would like from therapy.
If you are still interested we can schedule a first session. At no point in this process are you under any obligation to work together. Its about finding out what you want from therapy!
