About me and my therapy practice

Making the decision to seek support is not easy. It takes courage and self awareness to recognise that you might benefit from counselling. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, worried, confused or depressed then by visiting this page you have taken the first steps towards finding help.  I am Julia, an experienced counsellor and therapist and I would welcome the opportunity to help you either face to face or online.

The most important belief I have is the building of a good working relationship with you and I will adapt how I work specifically to your needs and choose methods which will be most helpful to you.  I believe it is vital to explore your issues sensitively, compassionately and with discretion in a safe, non-judgemental environment

After many years working in media in television production I decided to find a career in a helping profession. I have a private practice in North London where I have helped many people of all ages struggling with a range of issues. I have also worked in charity and business settings and with children and young people with special needs, including autism, and their families.

My counselling training was Humanistic Integrative, which means that I gained knowledge and experience of using a range of different theoretical models and approaches. An integrative approach acknowledges that different clients have different needs and that no one single approach is sufficient.

I believe that every person is unique and provide a confidential, warm, supportive, trusting and empathic environment. I will listen to you and work alongside you to help you to understand your problems, what caused them and empower you to find solutions and the best way to move forward with your life. I look forward to hearing from you.
