About me and my therapy practice
Hi,my name is Trish and I am a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP. I have a private practice based in Chesterfield and provide Counselling to adults over 18 years of age in the North-East Derbyshire area.
I trained in Other-Centred approach and Buddhist Psychology and I also draw influences from Person-Centred and Humanistic approaches. I am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethical framework. As part of my training I have worked as a volunteer for SAIL (Sexual abuse and Incest Line) and the Ashgate Hospice patient and family support team, gaining experience in working with bereavement, sexual abuse and trauma.
I use an integrative approach and I will tailor sessions to the client’s individual needs, incorporating art and psychodrama if appropriate.
My Ethos is that life can be challenging and confusing, especially in times of change or loss. I know that having a space to talk openly and frankly to someone who is independent and unbiased can help us make sense of it all.
I offer just such a place where you can explore your life, who you are, your environment and others around you. I will walk alongside offering my unconditional support, helping you through the difficult parts and giving you the opportunity to express how you feel.
