About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Nicola. I offer a calm, safe and empathic space so that you can talk through your troubles. Sometimes life can feel tough and this may be why you are reading this profile.

Are you wanting to make a change in your life, to be heard, to heal, to be understood, to begin a new understanding of yourself or maybe all of the above? I work with people just like you.

Having experienced counselling myself, I am a firm believer that finding the right counsellor for you is vital; I know it can work. 

I work with clients at their own pace and I feel passionate that we build a good relationship together. I believe that finding a new perspective in a supportive space will be empowering for you. By discovering more self-awareness, you can make the right choices for you and as a result of working together, you can change the ways in which you think, feel and act and also understand the ways others react to you.

Practice description

Face to Face sessions are located in Basingstoke in an idyllic setting with free parking. Zoom and telephone sessions are also available.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute chat on the phone to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you. Alternatively, you can just book an initial session to see what you think. 

If we agree to work together, further sessions are 50 minutes in duration and are usually at the same time and on the same day each week as agreed however I can offer some flexibility with us, especially if you are a shift worker. During the first session I gather further information and explore what has brought you to counselling and the goals you want to achieve. Sometimes you don't have a goal and that is okay. 

I offer open-ended therapy, so you can decide how many sessions are right for you. These sessions can be face to face, online or phone ….. or even a combination of all three if that works better for you. We often have busy lives and I try to be as flexible as I can to make it easier for you.
